Monthly Archives: January 2012

Well, the kind blogger (whose name I’m unaware of) in charge of A point of No Return granted me/my blog with a Versatile Blogger Award, for which I am very happy and thankful. Thank you so much to him 😀

Being nominated comes together with some rules/obligations:

1)  Thank the person who gave you this award. That’s common courtesy.
2) Include a link to their blog.
3)  Next, select 15 blogs/bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly.
4) Nominate those 15 bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award
5) Tell 7 things about yourself.

1) and 2) are done. Let’s get to 3) and 4), my list, in no particular order:

I’ll be letting them know between tonight and tomorrow.

Now, moving forward to 5):

1) One day a friend emotionally blackmailed me into joining kendo trainings at the Tech University with her, because she was embarrassed of doing it alone. It was me, though, who fell in love with it and decided to stay. Forever.

2) I play cello.

3) I love Doctor Who and everything related.

4) I like bad weather… sometimes even better than good weather.

5) I dislike going alone to the cinema.

6) A gothic teenager who followed a blog I used to have in which I wrote short dark fantasy stories asked me once what my favourite colour was. Just to mess with him I replied “Pink”. He unfollowed authomatically. Ever since, I’ve taken wearing and using pink as a way to laugh at myself and at some stereotypes.

7) I take swedish lessons, and I’m late for one of them, now.

Browsing through the most recent sketchbooks I sense a pattern: Victorian Ladies is my don’t-know-what-to-draw topic.

While I’m working on a “Versatile Bloggers Award” post to thank for the one I’ve been given recently (which I’m super happy about) and follow the tasks that come with being nominated, I thought I’d drop by to remind you that it is almost *that* time of the year again, the one in which I draw Ororo and compare it to the past year’s Ororo and I get all cheerful about getting better. This means I’ll have been able to carry on with this blog for two years now.

For the record, in the past year I increased in a 200% the number of posts compared to the year before, it got almost three times as many visits as in the first year of life of the blog and the subscriptions boosted. Thanks to you all for reading, my appreciation for you taking the time to look in here is infinite!

Meh, I just realised. Saturday Night Blogging…

As promised, I kept on working on that 3 vanishing points perspective of a Victorian staircase. And I’m basically done with the pencils, and I’m kind of satisfied.

I, btw, started this one week ago so I could paint something. One week later, the painting can finally start!

The WordPress statistics for the blog for the year. I thought it was really cool to see it all put together. Thank to everybody who’s behind those numbers 🙂

WordPress Annual Report for Weird yet Cool: The Blog

I used my break this evening to start some crazy three-vanishing-points perspective of a wooden Victorian staircase on a -oh, yes!- A3 paper sheet. To be finished through the week, during breaks. =D

Self-explanatory tittle there. For the ones not knowing what lacasitos are, follow this link.

And, Happy 2012 to everybody! Thanks for being there, reading. Let’s go for another year! I must say I feel very excited about 2012, lots of expectations and plans and projects!
